Pelee Island Butterfly Count

An official event of the Toronto Entomologists’ Association, annual regional counts help document the butterfly and odonate species found across Ontario! Whether you’re confident in identifying species or simply curious to learn, you’re welcome to join in. This is a great chance to explore Pelee Island’s insect diversity and contribute to community science.

Participants will split into teams to survey as much of the island as possible. Teams are out for most of the day, and we reconvene in the afternoon to compile results.
